Salary: NJC Scale 6 - points 18 to 20 (£34770 to £35862 per annum) - pro rata for part-year working
Hours: Full-time
Year Round?: No - 42 weeks per year (during school terms plus three weeks)
Permanent?: No - fixed term for one year in the first instance

Job Description:

The BJS Federation of Schools is looking for a Personal Assistant to support the work of the executive headteacher.

The purpose of the position is to:

  • ensure effective levels of professional administrative support for the Executive Headteacher and the Executive Senior Leadership Team
  • ensure all queries to the Executive Headteacher from staff, pupils parents/carers, governors and external agencies are dealt with on a day-to-day basis
  • ensure all business and events are managed as they happen
  • provide quality administrative support to ensure the smooth and successful support of the Executive Headteacher
  • make a positive contribution to supporting the Federation in achieving its stated goals.

We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented individual with exceptional communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be resourceful, flexible, and discreet, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with excellent organisational and multitasking skills, outstanding written and verbal communication with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
