Job Description:

Ashmole Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Lunchtime Playworker to join its friendly staff team. The successful individual will play a vital role in supporting Key Stage 1 pupils during lunchtime play, helping them to take part in enjoyable, purposeful play that develops their social skills and confidence.

This important role will involve promoting inclusive play that meets the needs of all pupils, creating and leading engaging play opportunities using a range of resources.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident individual seeking flexible working arrangements.

The post aims to:

 

¨  Support groups of Key Stage 1 pupils to develop their play and social skills

¨  Create engaging and purposeful play opportunities

¨  Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs.

 

The successful candidates will have:

 

¨  A warm and patient approach with the ability to form positive relationships

¨  Awareness and understanding of a range of special educational needs

¨  Good communication skills
