As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are seeking an exceptional Lead Practitioner of Economics & Business to drive outstanding teaching and learning across the school while leading the strategic development of a successful and growing department.
The Role
You will:
Lead and develop the Economics and Business curriculum across KS4 and KS5
Drive excellent teaching and learning within the department and across the school
Coach, mentor and support colleagues, including ECTs and new staff
Use data effectively to raise attainment and close gaps
Monitor and improve classroom practice through observation and professional dialogue
Contribute fully to the wider life of the school, including pastoral responsibilities
The Ideal Candidate
QTS and a degree in Economics or Business (or related subject)
A proven record of excellent classroom practice
Experience of departmental leadership
Strong curriculum and assessment knowledge
A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
Willingness to support the school’s Catholic ethos (all faiths welcome)
