Salary: NJC Scale 3 – points 5 to 6 (£22800 to £23211 per annum) pro-rata

We are looking to recruit a Premises Assistant who will ensure that the School’s buildings are healthy and safe environments for students, staff, parents, and visitors. You will join our motivated and expanding team and contribute to this vibrant local community within the Local Authority’s first all-through school for children and young people aged 3 to 19 in South London.
Woodmansterne has a diverse and vibrant community and as a school we benefit from this rich variety of cultures and traditions – as a growing school, we are looking to extend our team further and employ an energetic, capable, reliable and flexible person to join our hard working and committed team.
You will be on site 35 hours per week, working flexibly with the other premises staff to ensure the sites are open from 7am to 6.15pm Monday to Friday, with a willingness to work shifts and overtime when this is required.
You must have:
- experience of buildings maintenance, preferably in an educational environment;
- an understanding of Health and Safety regulations;
- a working knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft Office;
- a good level of literacy and numeracy;
- experience of following direction and working in collaboration with colleagues, parents, pupils and the school community; and
- strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
