The Michael Tippett School has a current roll of 72 students, aged 11-19. Students have a range of complex needs; SLD, PMLD, ASD and severe challenging behaviour. The majority of our students have severely impaired communication needs and a wide range of medical needs.

The Michael Tippett educational establishment is based on two sites, and caters for students up to 25 years of age.

Unlocking potential is what we do. We firmly believe that the future of every child placed in our care, matters.

We believe that every student is entitled to the very best possible education, delivered in an environment that is both safe and, conducive to learning. At the heart of The Michael Tippett School and College are staff who work tirelessly to ensure we get this right for all our students.

Our modern learning environment is stimulating and motivating, designed to meet the very specific and individual requirements of all our students. The school is situated in between Loughborough Junction and Herne Hill. We are housed in a beautiful building that, over time, has been adapted and modified to meet the needs of our young people. We benefit from a vibrant local community which provides many unique and enjoyable learning opportunities for our students. The college is housed in a newly refurbished building based in a quieter part of the borough where the borders of Brixton and Balham meet.

The school had a successful OFSTED inspection November 2017
