We are looking for a creative, motivated and excellent Kitchen Assistant who would relish the opportunity to join our innovative team. You will be fundamental in contributing to this vibrant local community within the Local Authority’s first all-through school for children and young people aged 3 to 19 in South London.

We are looking for enthusiastic and conscientious kitchen assistant who:

  • has experience of preparing fresh interesting and nutritious meals
  • has a good grasp of multiple cooking methods and an understanding of correct cooking procedures such as blanching, searing, grilling, steaming, browning and sautéing
  • can work with the head chef/sous chef on recipes and menu ideas
  • has the ability to read and complete simple instructions, such as cleaning rota, work rota and temperature control
  • is able to understand seasonality and seasonally appropriate foods
  • is able to work within health & safety standards and food hygiene regulations
  • have strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
