Job Description:

Reay Primary School is a little oasis in the heart of South London. We are a one form entry school based between Brixton and the Oval. The school is spread across three buildings and caters for children from aged 3-11.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and hardworking Premises Officer who will have sole responsibility for ensuring our school site is a safe and attractive environment for our school community to thrive within.

Are you a team player who has the passion, enthusiasm and skills to look after a one form entry site? If so we want to hear from you!

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of building management, maintenance and site security
  • Practical experience and skills in one or more of the following; carpentry, plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical/building maintenance and heating systems
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and requirements and, experience of maintaining accurate and up-to-date administration, reports and records as required
  • The expertise necessary to be vigilant for any health and safety hazards; reporting and mitigating risk immediately and appropriately
  • Flexibility, resilience, adaptability and commitment to work as part of a team
  • Great time management and organisational skills and be proactive and driven to maintain the best standards
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and maintain excellent, friendly relationships with children, staff and visitors
  • A commitment to working in a school and becoming part of our community
