Job Description:

Heathbrook is a two-form entry primary school in the heart of Lambeth, serving a vibrant and diverse local community.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly efficient office administrator who takes pride in creating a centre of excellence in administration to support pupils, families, staff and the wider community.  Strong relationships and a positive communication style lie at the heart of our culture.  You will be innovative and proactive in running of the school office, administration systems and have the ability to contribute to improving outcomes.  The successful candidate will use their skills and knowledge to deliver a comprehensive administrative service.

We want to hear from candidates who:

  • Have experience of providing highly effective administrative support in a busy school or office environment
  • Have experience working with and engaging positively with pupils, staff and parents
  • Are able to work as part of a team and support staff as well as take responsibility for their time management and priorities
  • Are able to help support and promote the aims and ethos of the school
  • Are able to communicate clearly and effectively with all those involved in the life of the school
  • Are able to contribute positively to professional development activities
  • Are able to be flexible, approachable, listen and continue to develop and enhance established practice
  • Have a good sense of humour, maintain a positive outlook and display a problem solving attitude
  • Have experience of using and developing office systems and procedures
  • Have experience of using computerised attendance monitoring systems or similar databases
  • Have experience using SIMS, Arbor, School Comms or similar client database
  • Have experience of using computerised information systems
  • Have experience of providing administrative and secretarial support
  • Show proven commitment to equal opportunities policies
