Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated SEND teacher to work closely with the ARB Lead to develop Crown Lane’s Autism Resource Base into a beacon of excellence in the borough. The role will involve enhancing the quality of provision and expanding our capacity to support more children with autism, creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Crown Lane Autism Resource Base is an integral part of the whole school, supporting children with a diagnosis of autism and an EHCP. We are looking for an experienced and talented teacher to plan and deliver individualised learning for children within the ARB, using up to date knowledge and strategies to support children with ASD and SEND.

We are looking for an a teacher with:

  • Experience of successfully leading a team
  • Experience of teaching in an Autism resource base or specialist SEND provision
  • High expectations of what can be achieved
  • An understanding of the complexities of teaching to challenge and develop of all pupils
  • An excellent knowledge of autism–focused approaches, (preferably including TEACCH )
  • A proven track record in raising attainment for pupils with ASD and SEND needs
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and Primary Curriculum
  • The ability and drive to lead experience of teaching children with SEND specifically children with ASD;
  • Excellent professional relationships with children, colleagues, parents and carers
  • The skills to work successfully as a team member establishing effective working relationships and flexible working practices across partnership schools
