Website Wyvil Primary
Wyvil Primary School is an exciting and innovative school situated in the centre of London, based across three buildings. We have two mainstream sites with integrated resource base classes for children with Autism and Speech and Language needs, and an Autism Resource Base in Kennington.
We are looking to appoint an aspirational, hardworking and caring Early Years Practitioner to join our inclusive and ambitious EYFS team. Although you will be working within an inclusive EYFS Mainstream environment, you will be predominantly working with children with SEND. Experience of working with children with Autism and Speech and Language needs would be beneficial. This would be ideal for someone who is trying to develop their independence and leadership within an EYFS team and may be aspirational for further career development including teaching.
You will:
- provide support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities;
- leading pupils to engage in SEND interventions including Attention Autism bucket time, Sensory circuits, SALT and PECS;
- be willing to share best practice and develop others;
- have high expectations of behaviour, inclusion, children’s learning and progress;
- value, support and challenge children and adults;
- be prepared to work flexibly in a collaborative team using shared approaches for learning;
- create stimulating learning opportunities inside and outside the classroom.
We can offer you:
- amazing children, with a passion for learning;
- a stimulating and exciting learning environment;
- professional development opportunities;
- a staff team who have a range of expertise in SEND and Behaviour strategies;
- the chance to contribute to the school’s coaching culture;
- the opportunity to work in a team to support EYFS curriculum development;
- the opportunity to work closely with a supportive parent and staff community;
- opportunities to ensure you remain stimulated with real job satisfaction;
- an exciting chance to work in the centre of London in an inclusive and diverse setting.
In addition:
- we are a forward thinking and inclusive team who have our staff and children’s best interests at heart;
- we value our community and parents as partners, communicating openly and listening readily, inviting their input with respect and consideration.
We are able to support applications which require a work permit.
