Norwood is a good school with many outstanding features. GCSE History exam results are above local and national averages with many students choosing to study History at A Level and beyond. Central to all of our work is the determination to ensure that all pupils, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, succeed academically.
We are currently seeking to appoint a Teacher of History, who has excellent subject knowledge, new ideas, enthusiasm and a desire to be an outstanding practitioner. With excellent subject specialism ability, you will teach across KS3 and KS4 with the potential to take on A Level classes in the future. You will join a dynamic, innovative and successful faculty which achieves excellent outcomes. The expert and supportive nature of the Humanities team makes the post well suited to an Early Career Teacher.
The Norwood School is a fantastic place to work and learn. We are committed to developing teachers who are passionate about their subject and determined to convey this enthusiasm to their students. As a school we recognise the importance of teacher PPA time, giving 20% timetable allocation to this and a commitment to rarely covering for colleagues.
