Job Description:

Turney School, part of the Lansdowne Turney Federation of Schools (LTFS), and is proud to be an inclusive all through School ages 4-18 School at the heart of our local community.

Turney is an outstanding Primary, Secondary and Post 16 provision for children and young people with autism and associated learning difficulties.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to manage the school admin office, ensuring key tasks are completed accurately and in a timely fashion. You will have good management, administrative and organisational skills with the ability to work to a high level of accuracy in a busy and fast-paced school office.

Ofsted (Dec 2024), judged us to be a GOOD school across all areas within the framework.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Good time management skills and a flexible approach to team working
  • Resilience under pressure & ability to work to deadline with a series of competing priorities
  • Ability to prioritise issues you think are crucial for the role and for your school
  • Attention to detail, shown by spotting the potential consequences of not addressing certain tasks (e.g. are there safeguarding implications to issues involving pupils
  • Right skills when dealing with parents, staff, external agencies and governors to establish a positive, welcoming atmosphere in the offi
  • Fresh ideas, energy, enthusiasm and a drive for continued professional development

You will:

  • Manage the Administrative Assistant [reception]
  • Assist in developing a good relationship with the school community
  • Be well organised, able to multi-task and stay calm under pressure
  • Effectively induct staff into the school environment and the administrative team
  • Have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential data
  • Ensure that tasks are prioritised in line with the school’s processes
