Job Description:

St Jude’s Church of England Primary School is a vibrant school in the heart of Herne Hill, opposite Brockwell Park in the London Borough of Lambeth. We exist to serve our diverse community by providing education of the highest quality within a Christian framework of values and beliefs. We ensure that our children achieve their full potential in an inclusive, respectful and nurturing environment.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated teacher to join our team as a Class Teacher and Inclusion Lead. Alongside overseeing SEND, they will support the Headteacher to manage whole-school Inclusion. This is a class-based role with time out of class weekly, dedicated to leadership and school improvement responsibilities.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers, preferably with the National SENDco qualification, or those with proven strong leadership who can demonstrate whole school impact and be willing to complete SENDco qualification in the first two years of employment.

The postholder will sit on the school’s Senior Leadership Team.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate, creative, motivated and enthusiastic leader, with a history of excellent classroom practice across the primary range. They will be able to inspire the whole school community towards excellent outcomes.

This position represents an opportunity for a candidate looking to develop their leadership skills within a very strong and supportive network.
