ECT Eligibility Requirements and Regulations

To be eligible for induction registration and to apply to the Lambeth Induction Pool you must have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards QTS - this means that you have passed the required skills tests and you are due to finish your training.

Please note - QTS is a legal requirement for induction to take place as set out by the Department for Education. The Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) are the awarding body for QTS - not Lambeth Council.  If you do not hold QTS, you are not an ECT and therefore cannot undergo NQT Induction.

A valid Teacher Reference Number – this is issued by the TRA shortly after you start your teacher training.  If you do not have your Teacher Reference Number you can contact the TRA at [email protected]
