Salary: NJC Scale 4 (£29412 to £30771 per annum) - pro rata for both part-time hours and part-year working
Hours: 21 hours per week
Year Round?: No - 39 weeks per year (during school terms)
Permanent?: No - fixed term until April 2025 in the first instance

Job Description:

It’s an exciting time to be working in Lambeth Children’s Centres, delivering services and support to children aged 0-4 and their families across a local ‘Better Start’ area.  Lambeth Children’s Centres are managed by five lead schools, supported by the Local Authority.  Children’s Centres maintain close working partnerships with Health Services, Early Help and Social Care Teams, as well as a wide range of Voluntary Sector Organisations to ensure that there is a strong Better Start offer for Lambeth families.

We would like to appoint individuals who:

  • Have experience in delivering high quality early years provision, Stay and Play, Creche and Home learning, Health and Wellbeing activities for families and children aged birth to 5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
  • Are prepared to work collaboratively as part of an area team, operating at various locations throughout the week to ensure the delivery of high-quality services across the Brixton and Tulse Hill
  • Are skilled in encouraging parents to access family support services and adept at fostering high levels of participation in events and activities
  • Are proficient in IT with a willingness to further develop your skills and knowledge
  • Are experienced in providing a welcoming, warm and safe environment children 0-4 years and their families
  • Have worked in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals to support children develop to their full potential.

The successful candidate will be provided with training as required for the role.
