Job Description:

TEACHING ASSISTANT – ROSENDALE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Full time (30 hours per week), Term Time Only – Part time may be considered (5 days a week, half days)

Pay Scale: NJC Inner London Pay Scale 3, points 5 – 6 – Actual £23,020.53 – £23,349.33

Required for September 2026 or ASAP after September 2026

We require an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in our thriving, oversubscribed and outstanding school. The school’s aim is “Excellence for All” and the governors wish to appoint candidates of significant ability and enthusiasm, aware of and stimulated by the challenges and potential of a successful multi-ethnic coeducational school.

ROSENDALE PRIMARY SCHOOL OVERVIEW

All that we do here at Rosendale is based on the evidence of what works in schools. That means that sometimes we do things differently to other schools, for example our children work in mixed attainment teams using structures to support their language and learning and it means that we are constantly seeking to improve and we are not afraid to change.

We place a great deal of value on our relationships with parents and the local community. We have an active parents group that supports school events such as Sports Day and our Workshop or MAPP Day as well as bringing their own highlights to the social calendar such as Quiz Night. The school continues to be one of the most oversubscribed schools in the Borough of Lambeth.

Rosendale is an inclusive school with a wealth of expertise in providing the best possible education for all pupils including all those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We do this by removing barriers to learning and providing the bespoke support that our pupils need.

In April 2024 we were judged by Ofsted as outstanding in all areas.

If you are successful in your application, you will share in the leadership and management of a staff who are hardworking, committed, positive in outlook and dedicated to the achievement of our students.  We offer:

a high standard of professional practice, with bespoke in-house CPD provision, and affiliation to nationally recognised courses and providers (SSAT, Teaching Leaders, Future Leaders, NPQs);
clear pathways for career development and progression with a proven track-record of success in developing leaders;
a culture of high trust and accountability that values creativity and innovation and leading practice locally

The closing date for receipt of applications is midday, Wednesday 2nd September, 2026

Interviews to be held the following week
