Job Description:

Wyvil Primary School is an exciting and innovative two form entry school situated in the centre of London, based across three buildings. We have two mainstream sites with integrated resource base classes for children with Autism and Speech and Language needs, and an Autism Resource Base in Kennington.

Our vibrant and diverse community supports a wide range of needs, including SEND, with a strong focus on Autism, Speech and Language, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health. Our teacher ratio enables high quality teaching and learning whilst promoting staff leadership and professional development. We have embedded a coaching culture across the school, enabling staff to have regular opportunities for reflective practice, active listening and high quality questioning.

We are looking to appoint an aspirational, hardworking and caring Teacher to join our inclusive and ambitious team.

You will:

  • work flexibly in a collaborative team;
  • be supported to consistently deliver high quality lessons using adaptive teaching;
  • create a welcome and inclusive learning environment;
  • have high expectations of children’s learning;
  • have the opportunity to take part in external research projects e.g. with the EEF;
  • have the opportunity to share best practice and develop others;
  • create stimulating learning opportunities inside and outside the classroom environment.

We can offer you:

  • an exciting opportunity to work in the centre of London;
  • amazing children, with a passion for learning;
  • a supportive staff team with expertise in SEND and Behaviour strategies;
  • professional development opportunities, including those linked to wider research;
  • the chance to contribute to the school’s coaching culture;
  • leadership development as part of a Future Leaders programme
  • the opportunity to work in a team to support curriculum development;
  • opportunities to ensure you remain stimulated with real job satisfaction.

In addition:

  • we are a forward thinking and inclusive team who have our staff and children’s best interests at heart;
  • we value our community and parents as partners, communicating openly and listening readily, inviting their input with respect and consideration.
