Glenbrook Primary

Clarence Avenue, London SW4 8LD

Primary

Glenbrook Primary School is a one-form entry school in Clapham Park, South London. We have a beautiful new building with our entrance on Clarence Crescent, just off Clarence Avenue. When you step into our light-filled library, your heart lifts! The school is in leafy grounds with our own Forest School area. We think we have the feel of a village school in the heart of London.

We are proud of the rich, broad curriculum offered at Glenbrook. Our ‘ambitious curriculum’ for all pupils was noted in our recent Ofsted inspection in May 2021, when we were confirmed as a Good school with significant strengths. Glenbrook pupils have specialist PE coaching, music teaching and specialist art teaching as well as creative, bespoke teaching in class. Our pupils in Early Years have an exceptional start to school with a vibrant, inviting learning environment and an enriching range of learning opportunities that capture children’s imagination as they learn through play and through carefully targeted whole-class and group teaching.

Our staff are resolute in meeting the needs of every child and you will find that we work extremely hard and have the expertise across our whole school team to ensure your child has the best educational and social experience possible. In Glenbrook’s recent Ofsted, the ambition we have for every child as well as the high quality of teaching, inclusion, leadership and management were noted.

Glenbrook recognises the potential of every child to achieve excellence and flourish as a confident, lifelong learner. Pupils have exceptional opportunities to take on meaningful leadership roles as peer mediators and School Council representatives and we have very high expectations of pupil behaviour and kindness. Our pupils meet these expectations. Visitors to Glenbrook always comment on our welcoming, calm, happy and purposeful environment. As members of a culturally rich community, we provide an education free from discrimination and celebrate the experiences and heritage of every family as well as the individualism of every child.

Glenbrook Primary is part of The Gipsy Hill Federation, along with Elm Wood Primary, Fenstanton Primary, Kingswood Primary and Paxton Primary
