Join a team of three full-time teachers (and at least one teaching assistant) planning & working together across two classes, each led by a senior Hill Mead teacher.

Design your own curriculum
Free from any schemes of work, plan the topics and lessons that meet the needs & interests of your pupils.

No extrinsic rewards or consequences
We don’t use any stickers or behaviour charts. Our pupils want to learn, and they manage their own behaviour.

Assessing learning not levels
We have not replaced the old National Curriculum levels with any commercial package. We will trust your professional judgement, and we will never reduce pupils’ progress down to a number.

Only real books – no reading schemes
Encouraging a love of reading is at the heart of everything we do, so we immerse our pupils in only the best children’s literature.
