Job Description:

We are an inclusive one-form entry Church of England Primary School in the heart of Oval, Kennington and Vauxhall. We are looking to appoint an excellent Assistant Headteacher who has the ability and vision to further increase the school’s leadership capacity and raise the quality of teaching and learning standards across the whole school. The successful candidate will need to model the highest standards in their own practice as well as be able to support and develop colleagues across the school.  They need to demonstrate a full commitment to supporting our school vision which aims to develop passionate learners who possess the skills, knowledge and values to succeed within our diverse society.

The responsibilities for this position will include leading in the areas of teaching, learning and assessment and promoting the personal development of pupils.  They will also need to take a lead role in the day to day and strategic running of the school.

This role will be class based with out of class leadership time and will suit an experienced, ambitious primary teacher with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to accelerate pupils’ progress and an ability to mentor and coach others. This post represents an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready for the next stage in their career and wants to work within a nurturing, diverse and highly motivated school community.
