We are looking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic and aspirational Strategic Leader for Inclusion with strong SEND leadership expertise and a commitment to coaching and developing others. This role is ideal for a leader who is passionate about modelling excellent practice, driving inclusive provision, and supporting staff through high-quality coaching, and who is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey towards Assistant Headship or beyond.

We are looking to develop leadership particularly in SEMH as well as ASD and Speech and Language.

As a leader, you will:

  • Have a clear vision for strategic development of inclusive practice for children with SEND, with a focus on SEMH, ASD and S&L needs;
  • Model exemplary teaching and adaptive practice for children with SEND, particularly SEMH, ASD and S&L, across the Resource Bases and wider school;
  • Lead and embed a strong coaching culture, supporting staff to develop inclusive, high-quality teaching through modelling, feedback and professional dialogue;
  • Champion a holistic approach to learning, ensuring all children make strong progress academically and in their Personal, Social and Emotional development;
  • Maintain consistently high expectations of yourself and others so that behaviour, inclusivity and children’s learning are of the highest standard;
  • Lead and oversee key strategic areas within SEND provision (e.g. curriculum, assessment, teaching and learning), ensuring coherence and impact across sites;
  • Lead and develop others, supporting exceptional teaching and learning through coaching and modelling;
  • Take leadership responsibility and support other leaders with the day to day running across multiple sites
  • Design and deliver high-quality CPD, meetings and training, and hold staff to account for inclusive practice and pupil outcomes;
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in supporting children in the early stages of communication;
  • Oversee the implementation and review of strategies to support children with EHCPs, ensuring provision is effective and impactful.

At Wyvil we can offer you:

  • The opportunity to develop and refine your senior leadership skills, preparing you for future roles such as Assistant Head, Deputy Head or Headteacher;
  • Drive strategic improvement in inclusion by being forward-thinking, reflective and aspirational, with a clear vision for SEND across the school;
  • A supportive and ambitious leadership team committed to your growth and success;
  • A key role in shaping and leading inclusion in a school striving to be at the forefront of outstanding SEND practice;
  • A forward-thinking, inclusive and collaborative staff team;
  • High-quality professional development, including specialist SEND training and leadership coaching;
  • The chance to work closely with a range of external agencies and specialists;
  • Opportunities to design and embed creative, adaptive approaches to learning for children with SEND, particularly SEMH, Autism and Speech and Language needs;
  • Amazing children, with a passion for learning;
  • A welcoming community who have our children’s best interests at heart;
  • An exciting opportunity to work across three sites including resource bases for children with SEMH, Speech and Language needs, and Autism;
  • The chance to be part of a wider school federation.
  • Access to a range of learning environments to support diverse needs.
